Background
As long as I can remember, I have had a deep sense to help others particularly in the same areas where I have experienced pain. Initially, I thought I wanted to be a teacher / therapist, for students struggling with dyslexia, since I struggled with learning disabilties throughout my education. But it was not until my mid thirties, that I found my passion in counseling.
It was shortly after college, I continued my studies focusing on theology, spending two years in a seminary, completing a Masters in Theology, but with the intention to work in commercial real estate. I had begun my work career in Banking and Commercial Real Estate in Dallas then in Nashville. After beginning my own therapy, I found my passion to help people in the same way that I was helped through psychotherapy.
The past decade of my practice, has given me a new perspective on therapy and what works and doesn’t work. I have found that we need not only a plan but also tools and resources so that each person knows how to navigate the hardest elements of one’s life. Most of the tools and resources that I offer are from my own experience in ways that have helped me grow.
